Nearly 140 LA County DUI Arrests Over Christmas

The holidays are generally a busy time for law enforcement officers throughout Los Angeles, and efforts are made to decrease drunk driving in particular. Last Christmas was no exception. As of 6am on the morning of Christmas, December 25 2011, 130 people were arrested for DUI in Los Angeles County alone. This was an increase of 55 arrests from 2010. (These numbers indicate arrests made by the California Highway Patrol on freeways and in unincorporated areas of LA County alone and do not include LAPD and Los Angeles Sheriff's Department DUI arrests.)
