Local Comedian Killed by Drunk Driver

Early in the morning on January 3, 2012, two local comedians were involved in a hit and run accident with a drunk driver in the Los Angeles area.

Angelo Bowers, a 26-year-old comedian who had just beaten cancer, was killed in the collision. Fellow comic Josh Meyers suffered a serious head injury but should make a full recovery. According to law enforcement, the drunk driver slammed into the comedians' car after fleeing the scene of an accident involving a taxi cab. The suspect, who was hospitalized, is expected to face murder charges for his actions.
